Book on WhatsAppWho this is for
Adults with high BP, cardiac risk factors, or both diabetes and BP who need long-horizon meal structure (often Transform Plus or Complete Care).
What we focus on
- Hidden salt in pickles, papad, namkeen, and restaurant food
- Oil choices and tadka habits that fit Indian kitchens
- Fibre, vegetables, and dal patterns that support satiety
- Family-meal alignment so one kitchen works for everyone
Where the salt actually is
People cut the salt shaker and keep the papad, pickle, packaged namkeen, and restaurant dal. That is usually the larger dose. At home we keep tadka, and we decide which spoon of salt, which pickle, and how often papad is realistic for your readings.
- Cooking: measure the salt that goes into the pot. Taste with lemon, roasted jeera, garlic, and green chilli so the food is still food.
- The extras: one small piece of pickle is different from a daily habit. Papad and mixture are planned, not “free because they are not sweets.”
- Oil: a normal tadka is not the same claim as “all seed oils are poison.” The amount across the day matters more than a scary label. If diabetes is also present, the plate order in the meal-order guide still applies.
- One kitchen: the rest of the family does not need a second menu. We align the shared sabzi and keep the highest-salt items as the person’s portion.
Medicines stay with your doctor
I will not ask you to stop a blood-pressure tablet because the food got lighter. If you also have diabetes, use the diabetes page. Sudden swelling, chest pain, or a severe headache is an emergency, not a meal-plan question.
Why the longer plan
BP and cardiac habits move slowly. Most people in this group do better with Complete Care or Transform Plus than with a one-week crash. A Diet Reality Check is still the right start if you only want the first three fixes.
